Fortune Bay Island resort is a 4 star hotel cum resort owned by the Welcome Group.  The resort is built on a hillside with multi-level architecture. It is constructed to resemble  traditional nicobari huts made with local wood (Padouk). The hotel is an ideal place for enjoying nature's beauty.

The resort has 45 rooms, all of them overlooking the the Bay of Bengal. Its distance from the airport is 5 km and 1 km away from city centre. It is located on the shore which provides it a perfect view of blue sea and the nearby islands from the hotel room balconies. The hotel is equipped with in-house restaurant and bar lounge.

Though it is a part of Welcome Group Hotels, it is not as good as the other luxury hotels of the group. But you will find the hotel equipped with all facilities and offers great hospitability.

As it is a full luxury hotel with a govt approved 4 star rating, you need to have deep pockets. You can get a double A/c room for Rs 3960/-
