Veer Savarkar Airport in Port Blair is the only airport here. It connects Andaman to Kolkata and Chennai. Jet Airways, Air Deccan , Spicejet and Indian Airlines operate flights to Port Blair. You can get a good bargain if you can plan your trip and book tickets in advance. Air Tickets can get as high as 12000/- in peak season, which can bore a hole in any tourist’s pockets.

 The Andaman islands have a lot of things to explore. Even a month long trip here would be less to know all the islands. It is important that you plan your trip right to see maximum in your limited time frame. Port Blair, Havelock and Baratang are the places you must visit even if your trip is a short one. Spend more time in Havelock Island if you have sufficient days of vacation. Havelock is like haven in Andaman. Some other typical sight seeing excursions can be avoided to get you some more time on Havelock.
